Reed Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, February 19, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Joseph Reed, 84, who entered eternal rest, Friday, February 5, 2021 at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery in Grand Coteau, LA. Rev. Lambert Lein, S.V.D. will officiate the Mass of Christian burial. Mr. Reed is survived by one son, Michael Reed (Deborah) of Opelousas, LA; four daughters, Jennifer Gudger (Douglas), Ingrid Reed both of Fort Washington, MD, Christine Rideau (Kenneth) of Opelousas, LA and Hope Smith (Arthur) of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Joseph Arthur Reed (Marcelette) of Opelousas, LA; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Enola Savoie Reed; a son, Jeffery Reed; parents, Willie and Feliciana Davis Reed; a brother, Rogers Reed; four sisters, Audrey Lee, Ella Mills, Mary Dejean and Ethel Guilbeau. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM Friday, February 19, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home.
