      Mr. Joseph Evans “Slick” Thomas, Jr.
      Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Joseph Evans “Slick” Thomas, Jr., 42, who entered eternal rest, Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
      Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Park. Rev. Hai Pham, S.V.D. will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.
      Mr. Thomas is survived by his companion, Kescheler Hayes of Rosharon, TX; four children, Hailey Chevis, Alana Thomas both of Opelousas, LA, Aaliyah Richard and Darren Lewis both of Rosharon, TX; three sisters, Sheila Metz, Demoricka Thomas and Sharonda Chachere all of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Zerron Thomas of Opelousas, LA and Kevin Richard of Beaumont, TX; a special niece, Diamoneshia Metz of Opelousas, LA; a special cousin, Kizzy Baker of Opelousas, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
      Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Evans Thomas, Sr. & Mary Metz; paternal grandparents, Joseph & Mary Thomas; maternal grandparents, Adam & Florence Rideaux and Edward Metz; a brother, David Metz, Sr.; a sister, Linda Metz; a nephew, Johnathon Joseph and one brother-in-law, Clausey Lee.
      Visiting hours will be observed from 7:00 AM to 9:45 AM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM.
